Dallas Happenings

We are in Dallas for Thanksgiving and haven't stopped!  The weather has been gorgeous and we all have been having so much fun as a family.  Here are some pictures of our first few days here.

We went to a tree lighting in Allen...

 ...and saw Santa!  :)

We've been playing LOTS of piano!

And have been playing outside ALOT!  It's been in the 80's and all I brought home for the boys were long sleeve and sweaters so we have been wearing size 4 t-shirts around!

(can't believe this little man will be 14 months next week!)

Yesterday we went to ICE at the Gaylord Hotel and today we rode the train (aka- DART) to Northpark to see the train display.  Pictures to follow soon!

My Firefighter and Dalmation

Halloween was a great day.  Jake got into it a little more than last year which was definitely fun.  We trick or treated around the little square in town where all the stores stay open later and pass out candy.  My mom was still in town and she donned her Rangers jersey which got her alot of grief :).  It was so great to have her here with us.

my little dalmation... still not sure about those ears!  sweet guy :)

World Series Game One

Well, the Sunday evening that the Giants beat Philly, I said (of course kidding) "we should try and get tickets!"  My husband, the man I love with my whole heart then said "I'm on it!  10  minutes later we had tickets in our inbox!  Seriously, I was angry and excited all at the same time.  Angry at the fact that he paid what he paid (so much for a trip in the spring!) but so excited that we were going to see the RANGERS in the World Series!!  We didn't tell anyone (our FB "friends") for a couple of days because my mom was planning on coming out for a visit and just so happened to be flying in the day of game one.  Sooooo when she landed we surprised her with a ticket!  It was so fun!  A moment that we won't forget :)

Even though the outcome of the game was not what we had hoped for, we had an absolute BLAST!  And the weather was absolutely beautiful!

Waiting for the gates to open!

Our favorite Josh Hamilton warming up!

Watching the Rangers practice.

Why lookie here... I got to actually MEET our favorite... He signed my shirt and wrote Hebrews 4:12
"For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart"

For anyone that doesn't know Josh's story click here.  Take a minute and watch it please.

These orange things were sooooo annoying!  :)

A sea of orange and black.  Definitely NOT as cool as red and blue :)

A very small section of red and blue... like I said, much more fun to see than orange and black... :)

First pitch- E Andrus

A lone fan in our section

 Hamilton

Cliff Lee's first pitch- too bad he was completely "off" this night :(

Cliff Lee at bat... all us Rangers fans were definitely praying!

WOW!   He actually made it to second!  Way to go Cliff!

Ummm yes, we are still at the game!  Seriously?!?  Only a Giant fan- haha!

Saved the best pic for last!

Overall the Giants fans were pretty nice to us  however, I won't comment on the very foul mouth drunk couple sitting a couple of rows behind us.  But like I said, it was a great night!  And enjoyed it all... except for the bottom of the 5th inning which lasted what felt like 2 hours!

Such treasured fun memories!

Also wanted to add this pic.  Within seconds of having Josh sign my shirt, my phone was ringing from friends in Dallas.  "We just saw you on TV!!!"  I was definitely aware of a camera filming us but never imagined for one second that it would be a camera crew from DALLAS much less actually AIRING on tv at that very second!!!
So FUN!  :)
