We all took a little morning trip out to the Gaylord Hotel last week to see ICE! The Gaylord was decorated unbelievably well for Christmas! We could have spent all day wondering around. They have a life-size gingerbread house where you can go and make your own houses. And they have an "Yourself as an Elf! (Do you have what it takes to become one of Santa’s little helpers? Enter the Elf Hall of Fame and pass through the ELFINATOR 5000® to become ELF- size as you and your guide Edgar the Elf explore the magical world of Santa’s workshop and North Pole base camp). Definitely wish we could have done this too but we ran out of time and needed to get home for naps. We decided that Jake was old enough to enjoy ICE this year. It was incredible... and absolutely FREEZING! It was 9 degrees inside. They give you these huge jackets to wear however I wish we had brought gloves. They showed a short video of the whole process. Like how it's modeled after the ice and snow festival in China and how some of those men come over in September to start working on it here in Dallas. I wish I had thought to introduce Jake to Charlie Brown before going. He didn't really have a clue who he was. I think that if we had maybe watched a few episodes prior to going he would have liked it a bit more. But regardless, he loved it. We all did.
the slide was his favorite!
the nativity scene was my favorite. the details were amazing!
MERRY CHRISTMAS Y'ALL!
